bEST bOOk EvER 😍😍😍 but in my opinion I wish there was more of a ending such as did they return to they’re house ? Did Kenny’s team win ? Did he make it to first. But overall great book. 9.9/10

I won this Advance Reader's Copy through Goodreads. Heart of a Champion was a great book. It was easy to get through with manageable chapters. Perfect historical fiction for it's intended age range (9-12). It clearly doesn't go deep into the history of Japanese internment in Canada but I think that Schwartz touches on very important issues again, playing well to her audience.
