I had to stop this movie it is so terrible. I even felt compelled to comment on here when I never have before.

Don't waste your time watching this; don't hope the acting will get better or that the fantasy segments will become funny. After the first one or two you will vague out or stop the movie, anyway. Ed Asner's acting us just as awful as the others', although the script is so bad he should perhaps be given points for even slogging through his part - if he did and didn't walk out. I didn't make it to the end to find out.

I really wanted to like this, I mean it is called Love Meets Hope... what could be nicer? This movie was vulgar, cheap and over-done. We watched it for about 35 minutes and had to withstand fart jokes, bad and objectifying come-ons, and exaggerated sexuality. Finally, when Asner's character is giving a eulogy for his deeply loved sweet elderly wife, her best friend makes reference to the dearly departed and the two of them exchanged an extremely deep throated kiss in Argentina years ago and how Asner was a lucky ***tard. Ridiculous. Turned both me and my t.v. off.

I agree with gracieclover. Ed Asner makes the movie. Without Ed, the movie is not worth watching.

Ed Asner is wonderful but the moment he's off the screen the movie turns saccharine and appallingly awful.
