Seth and Niall were the stars for me in this novel. Really enjoyed the peek into the High Court and the start of the descent into madness and chaos. Wish the exchange between Seth and Niall at the High Court had gone differently (Seth, why didn't you fight it harder????), but still great overall read. For anyone struggling with book 2 or 3, #4 makes it worth while, so stick with it.

Wow! Such a deliciously thrilling read! The characters are so vivid; the world, stunning; and the plot set me dancing with trepidation and antici...

More character oriented than the other books of the series. You hear their troubles repeatedly. I liked this book, but it was not as enjoyable to me. Good, but not great.

I find that this series by Marr keeps getting simpler and simpler. There were some neat character developments, but the Faerie world was only a backdrop to the Seth-Aislinn-Keenan- Donia love triangle (square?).

I read this series awhile ago and liked them, but they were kind of confusing and pretty fast-paced.

enjoyable, and better than the first two. It had a good start and didnt drag on too much but at times through out the middle it got boring and i often became uniterested and found myself skimming, getting tired of hearing the same things the characters were dreading about. In my opinion a good author doesnt need to repeat their feelings over and over again, that just means they cant find any other way of showing how the characters feel that they have to tell the reader repeatedly. dont get me wrong i like it and was satisfied after reading it but I was not totally compelled to read the next book.

This book is spectacular. In the middle I found it a little boring, but overall it's great!!!

I found this book more repetitive than the first two. I understood how the characters were feeling but I didn't need to be told every two pages. I continued with it though, because I wanted to know where it was going. I'll still request the next book(s) in the series but this one almost made me want to quit reading it.
