Set in the same world as the Starbound series' (Disney Hyperion) earlier hits but featuring new characters, this title is bound to be accessible and enjoyable to fans and new readers alike. A year ago, Flynn Cormac and Jubilee Chase made the now infamous Avon Broadcast, calling on the galaxy to protect them from destruction. A year before that, Tarver Merendsen and Lilac LaRoux were rescued from a terrible shipwreck. Now, on the planet of Corinth, all four are about to collide with two new players, who will bring the fight against LaRoux Industries to a head.

Gideon and Sofia are closely tied but have never met until both of their cons go astry. As they hide and reveal parts of who they are to each other, I was drawn in to their inner worlds. Their connections to the characters from These Broken Stars and This Shattered World brought an interesting end to our connection to life in another universe. Equal parts Romance and Science Fiction, I loved how the series culminated.

I really enjoyed the first half of the book where it was just Sofie and Gideon doing their con and hacking thangs and going on the run, but then stuff got very similar to the previous two books as the major story arc came to a head. Which was expected, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the beginning. Overall, I'd rate the series as a solid 3 stars.

First, this book really tied up all the characters in a relatable yet complicated web. For example, a certain someone's ex's younger sister is present in this book, and plays a huge role. Another someone's father is responsible for the death of someone else's friend, I think. In addition, the authors do it in such a way that you don't quite realize who is in relation to who, before it already clicked in your head as an "probably not going to happen" thought. Shocking news is everywhere! Being the finale to this galaxy-changing series/ trilogy, its no surprise that it goes out with a bang. Or rather, a series of unexpected ones. Finally, the ships in here are too strong to be resisted. So dive in and share in the happiness! And pain! 5/5 stars.

Like the previous reviewer, I felt that the protagonists for this volume were the weakest of the three pairs. It's not that they were horrible or anything, but Tarver absolutely steals the show, even in a relatively minor role. Overall, this isn't a bad conclusion for the series, though.

I really did enjoy this final installment in the starbound trilogy, but nowhere as much as the first two books, as there were several things that I really didn't like. The story just didn't capture my heart the way I was really was hoping it would've. I also felt that there was a lot less character development between Sofia and Gideon. Even though at times I felt that they lacked personality, I did still like reading about them. When Gideon was introduced, I immediately fell in love with him, but Sofia I never really liked, and I felt it was an effort to get through some of the chapters that were told from her perspective. The series did end in a good way though, and I felt that things were over and I was okay with it all. After it was over though, I felt like I should want more of the characters, but because each book is about different people, I just wasn't as attached to the characters. Also, sometimes when things were supposed to be heated, and the book was nearing the end, the story felt bland, and I kind of wished that things would hurry up. There was at least seventy-five pages where it felt like nothing was happening, and the scene was supposed to be suspenseful but it was actually really dry. So with all of that, I really didn't like this book as much as I was hoping I would and it is probably my least favorite of the whole trilogy, which kind of sucks, because this is the last book, and my last impression of the characters.
