This album IS a Revival...of Em's most mediocre, family-friendly albums.
Not one song in 18 tracks is worth listening to twice.
Do you like rap? Are you a fan of the rap god, Eminem!? Well if so check out his new album, Revival!! But I still enjoy all his songs on this album! I recommend this if your a fan of Eminem, to check out his new album at your local library!! 5/5 Stars. @SunshineLove of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
This album was released in 2017 through Aftermath Entertainment, and featured many new rap-rock style songs. Eminem is well known as one of the best rappers of his time, with powerful lyrics and an impressive flow. My favorite songs off of this album are In Your Head, Walk on Water (feat. Beyonce), and Revival (Interlude). What I like about his music is how timeless his songs are and how they can sometimes be relatable for many people. I prefer his older songs that led him to the limelight, but it was nice to see that he hasn’t fully lost what he once had. I would rate this album 4/5 stars and recommend it to those who are fans of rap.

not his best
Best rapper of all time!! His most heart-wrenching album.
First of all, regardless of this album, Eminem will always remain one of the best emcee's to ever pick up a mic. That being said, "Revival" is far from being a great album. Scattered throughout the CD’s exhaustive 19 tracks are a few good songs. One or two tracks even borderline on being great. The album opens strong with the introspective and catchy “Walk on Water.” “River,” featuring Ed Sheeran, is decent. However, the best part of the song is probably Ed Sheeran, not Eminem himself. The best track is “Bad Husband.” Filled with raw emotion, Eminem finally admits that perhaps he was less than good as a husband, and treated his ex, Kim, poorly. Later on the song, “Castle,” Eminem apologizes to his daughters, and promises to be a better father.
Aside from these few bright spots, the rest of the album falls flat. Some tracks are simply difficult to stomach (“Remind Me,” “Framed,” and “Heat” immediately come to mind.). Other tracks, such as “Offended,” are bizarre and seem poorly formed. It’s frustrating to listen to Eminem as he pours out his heart one minute, but then cracks a series of crass jokes the next. For a man of 45, it’s awkward to listen to his immaturity on some of the tracks. When he retires, Eminem will be remembered as one of the best of his day. It seems at this point that his day has long since past.
This is one of the most disappointing albums I have ever heard. My expectections weren't that high going in but this album was super below subpar. He had to judgernaut producers Dre and Rick Rubin and somehow they failed on that aspect. All the beats are so under-developed and washed up. Emniem is one of the best but age is a factor becasue his lyrics are falling. His flow is still great but has no weight or substance. I hope that this is his last album and that he can just hold on to his legacy.
