Well, I'm old. And can't keep up to 80% of this modern world of computers. In fact, most young people age 5 and up can type faster than I read. But that said I still quite enjoyed this movie. I'm sure the younger generation will give it better marks.

Co-written and directed by Aneesh Chaganty in 2018, this American thriller depicts the struggle of a father (John Cho) trying to find his missing 16-year-old daughter (Michelle La) with the help of a police detective (Debra Messing).
Set entirely on computer screens and smartphones, the film turns out a unique visual presentation with good performances of the major actors as well as an unpredictable storyline with twists and turns.
I enjoyed it to the last moment.

Decent enough for a time-killing mystery. For sure not one of the greatest movies ever. As one who does not use social media (I even hate the term itself; so overused), it was kind of interesting to see how the dad searched for the info. Of course, I do not have the slightest idea if what he did is even possible. I think one of the big things I got out of it is that someone can always find what they want to find even if a person does not want it found.

The first hour is basically just a shot of his laptop. And an ad for social media. A bit ironic since it seems as though a lot of the breakdowns, these days, come from frying your brain on social media, or getting some weird habits from it.

I would have been particularly ticked if I had shut down my computer and gone out to see this. Thank you Library for at least bottling this disaster for home consumption.

Interesting topics delivered realistic way.

This was one long ad for social media and the ending was stupid.

Loved the unique concept. Everything was viewed through a screen-texting, FaceTime, news broadcast, calling, other social media. Good movie with a lot of things going on, very much like how we go from window to window when searching something.

5/5 is not a high enough rating for this movie. It was so suspenseful and thrilling and intense it completely blew me away.

It's a little more enjoyable, without special effects guns blazing, working out who don it

I understand why this movie gets such mixed ratings: some people love social media and then there are others who do not. My rating is based on personal taste; I found the acting not that great and the texting and computer sequences that monopolised the movie rather tedious and boring. I did give an extra star in the rating for the movie's originality.
