Really awesome coming of age teen movie! It has Superbad DNA which I really like. Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever are really amazing together, their chemistry pops!

I wanted to like this, I really did. A smart, female-centric comedy? I love those! One of the main problems was that one of the two protagonists, Molly, was so unlikeable for most of the film. Bossy, controlling, snobbish, egotistical. Ugh. It made it very difficult to root for her. Amy was much more likeable, but why, just when things were working out for her, did the writers ruin everything by writing in the awful vomiting scene? It felt contrived and unnecessary and just an excuse to humiliate the most likeable character in the movie. Ugh again. And why did two such allegedly smart girls keep behaving so idiotically? Ugh some more. Wanting to cram all that partying into one night was such an unworthy goal for two allegedly smart characters. It was frustrating, because this movie had so much potential, and has some good bits, but for me it never lived up to its promise.

This 2019 film didn't work for me - far too ALT or whatever. This whack view of high school was too cartoonish - but didn't hit my funny bone.

Laugh out loud funny portayal of two teen friends on the cusp of adulthood. Like "Superbad" but with girls. Expect intense high school friendship, hijinks, fumbling romance, and lots of awkwardness.

Just finished the movie and I must say I thought it was awesome. Being a male it is difficult to understand the difficulties in being a young lesbian but I still loved the character. GIGI rocks in here brief but memorable scenes. Laughed almost all the way through, great dialogue and great characters pretty much all the way through. PS enjoyed watching lisa kudrow hugging and kissing the panda LING LIng.

Booksmart was a very relatable, funny, coming-of-age drama with excellent casting and an even better script. The crisis two best friends have during their last week of high school is unbelievably relatable and the lengths they go to in order to have the best last week ever are so crazy they make sense. The emotional turmoil experienced by both girls and the life lessons they learn throughout the film are those learned by every teenager at some point: not everyone is going to like you back, your first time isn’t always magical, and what you think you know about someone else based on rumours, might not be true. Rating: 5/5 @RiverPark of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

I had to google Olivia Wilde.

Moronic. Contrary to previous comments, the movie very much stereotypes. If this movie is indicative of high school, then schools don't need metal detectors for weapons. The movie is guilty of bombing due idiotic influence abuse; inflicting narcissistic, unprepared and undisciplined young adults upon society: Morons

Perhaps the title could be amended to "Book Farts". Leaving flagellant regret of something you'd rather not have ingested.

Cute quirky coming of age movie. Pretty much cliche.

Molly: It's fun your mom thinks we're boning.

Amy: It isn't you who has to deal with their awkward looks when I say that I'm going to the library with you and I'm actually going to the library with you.

Many quotes in IMDb already, thanks to the contributors. Most are too raunchy to post and a few are too subtle without the actions on screen like this one:

It isn't you who has to deal with their awkward looks when I say that I'm going to the library with you and I'm actually going to the library with you.
