This story was excellently told. Moving, entertaining, light-hearted and full of imagination!

Takes a few chapters to get into the story but once you're that far--you're hooked!

I chose this book as my first introduction to this writer. First I loved the Canadian connection.. But then I caught myself thinking he read LOTR too many times.. but all in all WOW..it was very good. And then I found out this writer helped write one of the LOTR books .. Try it you might like it xoox

A great mix of mythology and high fantasy. The "Tapestry" analogy is a nice idea, as well as the occasional patches of comedy that most fantasy books don't have.
