True, could have used an appendix listing the literary references. Though it was a giggle to see Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm and Pollyanna as debauched schoolgirls.

Quite a good book, though I found that because so much of the thought Moore put into the story depended on the reader being familiar with 19th century popular fictional characters I could only follow a portion of the cleverness.
