This is a perfect story to read in the spring. The text is simple enough for very young children but it still teaches about planting and growing. The vibrant illustrations are lovely.

This is my go to storytime read aloud for garden and flower books. Simple text and bright beautiful illustrations keep kids engaged. For children who enjoy taking their time with the pictures, all the bulbs, seeds, and flowers are labeled.

A garden has many different flowers of various colors planted in it. Children will enjoy seeing the rainbow the colors form with Ehlert's bright pictures.
