I really like Minette Walters and her books are unusual as they are all stand-alone mysteries. In this book her two protagonists, Jon and George are really interesting characters but most of the story or mystery unfolds through a book chapter, emails, letters and police statements. I would have much rather followed Jon and George more closely as they try to discover the truth rather than read about it in an email.
