Directed by Max Nosseck in 1945, this American criminal docudrama depicts the life of the notorious gangster in the Great Depression-era United States.
J. Edgar Hoover, then Director of the Bureau of Investigation (BOI), used Dillinger and his gang as his campaign platform to evolve the BOI into the FBI.
However, the film doesn't touch this aspect at all.
In any case, the fast-paced story appears like an old-fashioned gangster movie, but looks cheap and stale.

Are you ready for the life and times of ruthless American criminal, John Dillinger (aka. "Public Enemy #1") being given the Hollywood treatment as a character in a vintage B-movie?

With shades of "noir" thrown into the mix (for good measure) - 1945's "Dillinger" stars stone-faced, cool-as-ice actor, Lawrence Tierney (playing the title character) who never fails to pour on the old gangster charm whenever he's trying to impress some naughty hottie.

From a purely nostalgic perspective - This 70-minute crime-drama from yesteryear is sure to keep you fully entertained from start to finish.

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. Not too bad---good performance. Very predictable but still entertaining.
