What Alisa has desired for five thousand years has finally come true--she is once again human. But now she is defenseless, vulnerable, and for the first time in centuries, emotional. As she attempts to reconcile her actions as a vampire with her new connection to humanity, she begins to understand the weight of life and death decisions. Can Alisa resolve her past and build a new identity, or is she doomed to repeat her fatal mistakes? From the paranormal series that netted more than 500,000 copies after its initial publication in 1994, this stylish, repackaged bindup is ideal for today's vampire-savvy teen audience.

this book takes commitment and time to even finish reading it.

Okay, honestly I liked this book, but at some points I felt as if it would never end. However, it is an awesome book for any and all vampire lovers (but only if you've read the first book because otherwise you won't understand anything). If you do read this book DO NOT STOP HERE!!!! Unless you absolutely hate the series.

I very much loved this one! It is very good!

PLEASE NOTE: Do not read the next few books because honestly its a way better to just stop here!!!!!

I agree to omfg because I thought the second book was WAY too sad but I still loved the characters. I liked the end and everything except that Seymour wasn't well at the end and I thought the sad events from the story were based a little to much on reality (both past and present). Anyway, to summarize: The first book was incredibly amazing but the second one (this one) is just VERY good.
