This was my introduction to Jacqueline Winspear and to Maisie Dobbs. I definitely want to indulge in more of this author. She draws you into the fear and excitement of the World War I soldier and families and offers well-researched details about map-making and its importance in this war.

Note: this is the book on CD (talking book), not the regular book.

I was accidentally sitting on hold for this, when I really wanted the hardback book.
