Not your run of the mill clamp or onepiece manga. This story may have fighting giant robots but what you get is the first real exploration in not just sorrow loss and regret but the real expression of it. Tears and all. A first in Japanese manga and fiction. The Japanese may be sad but they never show it. They contain it suppress it and hide it not just from society but themselves. The vinuettes are real uncomfortably so and tackle not just the timeless issues of teens and preteens but those of the Japanese youth of today from otaku loneliness to bullying out and inside the family to the life of the modern day Lolita who sells so much for so little. And I thought only the Koreans were masters of melancholy. Kitō mohiro is now up there with junji Ito and Haruki murakami and great storytellers in a nation that invented fiction and now evolve it one step more.

Great read. Is a good book if you want a good story with a little bit of tragedy mixed in.

This book seems to be very difficult to follow for me.

The story is intriguing and the artwork is well done. At first the number of characters is staggering but it gets a worser kind of way. Great story though!
