Summary
Add a SummaryThis installment in the Wings series takes places almost an entire year after the events of Spells. Laurel hasn't seen or heard from Tamani since she told him off in the woods that day at the end of Spells. She still believes she made the right choice by staying with David and her family in the human world. She is happy with her life and relationship.
Now it's back-to-school time, and low and behold - Tamani is there. He is posing as a human foreign exchange student! What? Yeah. Apparently the fae haven't seen any trolls in months, and they are more uneasy than ever because of that. Something must be afoot, yeah? Thus, extra protection is needed for Laurel. Of course, Laurel and David think Tam has some ulterior motives for being there.
In no time at all, Laurel is more confused than ever. In this installment, Laurel gets to explore her feelings for both boys, and realizes that she may never be able to choose between the two. During this love triangle - Laurel also has to decide between human life (college, etc.) or fairy life in Avalon (at the academy). Decisions, decisions.

Comment
Add a CommentIt is THE BEST book in the whole series. I think Laurel and Tamari would be an awesome couple!!!!!
Wow! So much better than the last book (which for some reason rubbed me the wrong way). I thought this book was great! Laurel is finally giving Tamani a chance (THANK YOU!), Klea and the newest addition to the series, Yuki, totally blind-sided me (I mean, I was NOT expecting that), and the possibility of David and Chelsea just sums everything else up perfectly. It took a little bit for the story to pick up, which is why I gave it 4 stars. After the last book, I thought I was going to be constantly annoyed with Illusions, but it really surprised me by making me forgive the grudges I had over the series, and got me uber-excited for the next book. Thumbs up for this book!
A really good book. It is so captivating! I recommend this book book to anyone.
This book is AAAWWWEEESSSOOOOMMMEEEE. I didn't really like the end. I want to know what happen next. i want to know if Tamani & Laurel are going to be a couple forever. I want the 4th book. I can't wait. ssssssssoooooooo exiting.
Amazing series so far, imaginative new take on fairies and their lore. I read this book all in one night, so spell-binding I couldn't put it down. Needless to say, I'm eagerly anticipating reading book 4 to find out how things end after the cliffhanger in this book.
OH MY GOODNESS! Im so excited for the fourth book! i wish they would continue the series, they're good books! i really want Tamani to go with Laurel!
I LOVE THE WINGS SERIES!!!!! I cant wait to read the 4th book:)
i am totally for laurel and tamani to get together!! They are perfect for each other and Tamani is just amazing! The ending in illusions is really abrupt but it makes me want to read the 4th book even more:)
I loved this book! I am all for Laurel getting together with Tamani, but despite the love triangle (which is getting really old by now) I love the whole fairy world that Pike has come up with. I can't wait to read the next book!TEAM TAMANI!!!<3
Still a good storyline but now Aprilynne is getting a little long winded. The book could've been about 80 pages shorter and still told the whole story. Picking up the last book Tues. and I may be happy it's the last one.
an enthralling and captivating paranormal romance that has all the fixings-mystery, danger and thrills. I cannot wait to read the next installment of The Wings Series!
