After a slow start, this true story gripped me. I felt a strong attachment to the newspaperman and his caring/sharing with his dog. A wholesome tear-jerker, a story of love conquering all, family redemption, and sharing the good in this world. So good, we listened to this CD TWICE in one trip. Never done that before.
Charming. The author reads the book, and his flat New England delivery takes a little getting used to. The book is slow to get into, with much description of the beauty of the mountains before we hear very much about the dogs, which were my main interest. But I hung in, and ended up really liking both Tom and Atticus.
