I picked this DVD up by browsing the shelf in the library and popped it into the DVD player. Even with the caveats on the cover concerning the quality of the recording (poor by todays standards- par of the course 20 years ago) I was very well pleased with the show.
I have discovered a new and very interesting individual in Mr. Tom Weir, deceased since 2006. I enjoyed his particular blending of trekking, natural and human history, and interviews with local folk to bring into focus a fascinating portrait of Scotland from her seas to her Highlands. Lots more to be found on Mr. Weir on Youtube.
