A wonderful film. Spot-on performances by pretty much the entire cast. The only segment that goes awry is the bit about Hope Davis helping the 2 elderly sisters. Aside from that misstep, it's a gem. I wish Davis had had more roles as good as this. A fantastic actress and so beautiful. The moment she smiles at Tucci tipsily dancing around -- radiance. Incisive cameos by Campbell Scott (who's absolutely electrifying) and Marcia Gay Harden (she makes a delightful drunk). Anne Meara terrific as the beleaguered mother. I loved the movie when I first saw in the late '90s at the Dobie in Austin. And now -- seeing it again -- the movie has become a snapshot of a cultural moment that no longer exists, of a New York era that has evaporated. The Daytrippers isn't only witty and insightful, it's a time capsule treasure.

offbeat fun and insightful movie about family, relationships and honesty. Good acting and well written.

Delightful, ensemble acting; kind of a mystery and charmingly funny, poignant. Holds you to the end. Good things about sisters and marriage.... and questions what is healthy sexuality. Worth watching twice.
