This is a funny-than-not show ranging from a couple episodes where I did not laugh at all (the pilot episode, for one) to episodes that are genuinely brilliant. Overall, I laughed a lot but there is also its fair share of dumb jokes. In general, I'd say the series gets funnier as it goes along.

This is one of those rare shows that you can watch over and over, yet still find fresh and imaginative with each subsequent viewing. The cast is fabulous and the running jokes are memorable. I have recommended this show to many friends who now quote it back to me.

I love this show, and have watched the series multiple times. It is hilarious. I highly recommend it if you are a fan of quirky or workplace comedies, are a nerd and/or you associate with nerds. It hardly seems possible now, but it actually took watching a few episodes for me to really enjoy the series. Don't give up on it too quickly.

Ignoring the rough start (about two or three episodes of the first season in which the show is adjusting to its audience), THE IT CROWD proved to be hilarious with jokes overlapping from episode to episode and season to season. It was a bit ahead of its time although it gained a cult following and resonates still, as the computer age is not going to go away and the technological era is only sweeping in larger strokes across the world. As grandparents get online for the first time, it's no surprise that the question has to be asked: "Have you tried turning it off and then on again?" It's beautiful in its simplicity; I'm web and computer savvy, but even I can admit that this easy-peasy solution solves a whole range of problems. If you know anything at all about technology, you'll love this show about two geeks pushed into the basement of the office building until called upon to fix the computers upstairs and the shenanigans they get into when a pretty but computer illiterate manager is sent down to supervise them. I highly recommend it, especially the second season.

If it's British comedy you know it will be good! Such an excellent series. And the sad part is a lot of these IT situations happen on a daily basis which makes it even more hilarious!

Brilliantly funny, and a treat for anyone who is a fan of Britcoms. Never before has the line, "Hello, IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again?" been so funny.

We borrowed this a few years ago after enjoying Graham Linehan's other sitcom, Father Ted. It has become one of those shows we can watch repeatedly and still laugh at (Black Adder; Red Dwarf). Like most shows, it takes an episode or two to warm up but we found ourselves laughing out loud (and at times doubled over in tears at some of the later episodes (ex. series 3 episode 6 - but don't skip to it, it won't work that way).
I always hear people raving about Big Bang Theory, but I find this show far funnier.

Hilarious. A must see for people who do any sort of IT work and those who love British humour.

I wasn't sure I liked it for the first 2 or 3 episodes but by the end I loved the characters, the humour, everything. It made me laugh out loud, literally, and how often does a TV show do that when you're an adult?
