Ferris Bueller’s Day Off has that 80’s movie vibe and is definitely one of Hughes’ funniest films. This film is aimed towards the team to an adult audience. Those watching can relate to Ferris if they love skipping school, Cameron if they are indecisive as heck, Sloane if you are a clingy girlfriend or even Jeanie who reeks of jealousy an attitude. Looking at all aspects of the movie surely enough it has received eight stars out of ten. At some point, we could admit we have always wanted to be in Ferris’ shoes. “No school” will forever be a teenager’s favorite saying. Life is too short so we must make the most out of it. @grumpykat of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library Ferris Bueller's Day Off: the movie that gave an entire generation of kids excuses to skip school. Honestly, I hold this movie at the standard of one of the funniest ever created, where Matthew Broderick's performance was just so stunning and spectacular, it really made me believe he was Ferris. This movie is so amazing to me for its writing and plotline: I mean, the sheer amount of quotable lines from Ferris Bueller's Day Off is immense! I would argue that this movie is entirely classic and historical. It really is a pure gem from the '80s that encourages you to go with the flow: "live a little." Sometimes I like to speculate that Ferris is almost the older, more sophisticated version of Kevin from Home Alone, in the sense that both of their plans are wildly difficult and convoluted. Even the stunts he pulled reflected on Ferris' sense of an aloof brilliance. Ferris Bueller's Day Off was a gift for the era it was released in and still continues to be a behemoth in the movie world. I highly recommend that you give the film a try, or even watch it again-and-again. It's simply too good of a movie to pass up. 5/5. @ShowMeTheMonet! of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a hilarious teen movie following the crazy antics of a high-school boy named Ferris, and his schemes to get out of school and go on adventures instead. Although it’s definitely not a good idea to skip school, the message of the movie is to stop taking things so seriously and to “live a little.” It encourages us to stop being afraid and to go on fabulous adventures with our friends, to go with the wind and find out where life takes us. It’s important for everyone to be carefree and just live life every once in awhile. - @reginaphalange of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
