An efficiently packaged doc on one of America's most popular country/pop rock bands of the last forty years. Disc one covers the early years of formation through to the implosion of the band in the '70's. Members and associates give interesting recollections and seemingly honest hindsight critiques; an impressive range of participants. With a shorter running time, Disc two isn't quite as detailed and could have easily have been expanded upon. Money factors were discussed in the reunion talks but no mention of The Eagles being the first band to clip their fans for $100 concert ticket prices. Disc three is a half hour concert footage of the band at their apex in March "77. It's of remarkable quality when you consider how long ago it was filmed. In a poignant moment, a youthful-looking Randy Meisner gives a haunting rendition of "Take It To The Limit", ironically, a member soon to leave the band singing what could be considered the group's mission statement.
