If you are familiar with Bedlam farm, this book is the tale of how it becomes less hectic. For those not familiar, it parallels the life of an abused, wild dog to the development of love between 2 lost people. The gentling of the dog works along with the people as they get closer. It is a little slow towards the end as you can see the inevitable ending but, it is good story, well written illustrations allowing one to get lost in the farm and what it looks, feels and smells like. Worth the read, and you feel good at the end.
