Many years ago during the 70's some friends and i decided to go to 42nd street to see some martial art movies and saw this movie instead. I remember this film scaring the H - -L! out of all of us. Even though it was low budget, i believe that's what makes this film so cool. Plus the music was very scary and the family of killers was off the hook!!! I still remember the sound of the camera taking pictures in the dark, and John Larroquette narrating at the beginning made me feel cold down my spine. The one scene that made me and my friends crap in our pants was when "Leather Face" hits one of the characters over the head with a big sledge hammer. You see the body shaking for a second before he gets hit again. The dead character gets pick up and pulled into a room and then "Leather Face" slams this dirty metal door shut!!! Excellent!!! This 2- disc "Ultimate Edition" is very good. With restored sound 5.1,visuals, and extras that makes this a classic you must have for horror fans and those who own HOMETHEATER. Plus, the second disc has the one and only "Ed Gein".....I give this movie 5 stars as an adult and probably 6 as a young boy skipping school to be frighten. And i was!!!!
