Lovely harmonies on this old fashioned bluegrass folk album. Too bad there's no lyric sheet. There are places where the two singers' voices overlap while singing a different line, so a lyric sheet would have made making out the different lines much easier, but it doesn't change the quality of the music, which is excellent. Think 1960's Joan Baez in duets with Dylan ( if Dylan were less nasal and had a wider range). Lots of banjo picking too. The harmonies bring to mind the Everly Brothers. Lovely album from a BC couple who won the Juno Award for Traditional Roots Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2016 for their album A Wanderer I'll Stay. Believe it or not, I picked up this CD on the recommendation of a friend who lives in the UK and saw them on YouTube and couldn't say enough good things about them. Very happy the library is supporting our local artists. Do give them a listen. Meanwhile, I'm putting in a suggestion for purchase for that award winning album of theirs. If you like this CD, you might want to do the same.
