A movie that truly deserves to be called a classic. Of course it's old-fashioned, obvious, and full of hammy acting. But Yul Brynner, Edward G Robinson, Vincent Price, and Anne Baxter are as wonderful a company of villains as any in the history of film. This aids greatly in establishing the epic scope, which is precisely what later film versions of the Moses stories lack, and the reason this one is still the best.
