EPL Picks: Indigenous Love Stories

This list is curated for those interested in Indigenous-led love stories. These stories encompass many kinds of love - romantic love, familial love or platonic love – and they’re united by an overall theme that the act of giving or receiving love for Indigenous peoples can be complex and sometimes requires an acknowledgment of the colonial pain inherited from previous generations. Reclaiming Indigenous joy starts with a commitment with oneself to move forward in a way that honours a connection to the land, culture, and community.
