EPL Picks: Vesak Day

Recognized by the UN General Assembly in 1999, Vesak Day takes place on the day of the full moon in May. Acknowledging the contribution that Buddhism, one of the oldest religions in the world, has made - and continues to make, Vesak Day commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death of the Buddha Siddhartha Gautama, which are all said to have happened on the same date.
